Hello guys,

Do you remember our sulfur cycle workshop that would happen in early July?!

Well,  we hope everyone enjoyed,  learned a little more and seized the opportunity to establish networks.

We were happy to see so many people of differents groups participating and some wining their own limits.
There were two  days of professional and personal growth.

The organizing committee thanks everyone and hope see you soon in a next opportunity to talk about science and the technological challenges!!

Research frontiers in sulfur cycle (July 3rd and 4th)

Hello guys, how are you?

Don’t you think this blog has been in standing by for a long time?! We do!!

Are you already aware of the upcoming event that will happen at LPB? No?? So let's update you!!!

On July 3rd and 4th 2018, the workshop "Research frontiers in sulfur cycle" will be placed here in the amphitheater of Environmental Engineering, at USP São Carlos, and will be attended by the renowned Prof. Dr. Piet Lens and colleagues from the sulfur cycle and associated biotechnology. And how about learning and/or improving your knowledge ?! Have you thought about how to recover elemental sulfur? And recover metals?

Participate with us, be part of our discussions, it will be a pleasure to share more this moment together!!

LPB in the 14th World Congress on Anaerobic Digestion (AD14)

Professors, researchers and former researchers from LPB  had attended to the 14th World Congress on Anaerobic Digestion (AD14) placed in Viña del Mar, Chile!

It was a time to present our projects, to share ideias, to establish networks and to discuss about the current state of anaerobic digestion processes around the world! And moreover, to debate about future paths for assuring a more sustainable environment!

To finish the works and celebrate these meeting, the researchers attended to the gala dinner offered by AD14 in a winery.

Workshop BioGreen

Last week our Danish partners visited LPB.

There were 2 days, in which we could present our lab-structure and the research topics developed here and also hear what Denmark can offer to us, regarding with collaboration research in the fields of biogas production with low GHG emission, mathematical modeling, better characterization of wastewater and wastes, etc.

Thanks Professors . S.G. Sommer, S. Bruun, S. O. Petersen and Henrik Bjarne Møller for your visit! We are sure that you joined this time with us!

Below you can check some pics from our workshop!

Bioenergy production with low emissions of greenhouse gases (BIOGREEN)

Through the Danish-Brazilian collaboration network for developing the Bioenergy production with low emissions of Greenhouse gases (BioGreen), the Danish partners will visit LPB, CTBE (Brazilian Bioethanol Science and Technology Laboratory) and FEAGRI/Unicamp (School of Agricultural Engineering) from November 3rd to 6th 2015.

Among the visitors we can list: Professor Dr. S.G. Sommer (University of Southern Denmark), Ass. Professor Dr. S. Bruun, (University of Copenhagen), Senior scientist Dr. S. O. Petersen, (Aarhus University) and Senior Scientist Henrik Bjarne Møller (Aarhus University).

During the visit, partners will agree on research areas where collaboration will benefit all, and will agree on specific project ideas for joint research. Moreover, some lectures will be offered in both Brazilian local partners.
The third part of BioGreen workshop will be held on São Carlos (LPB) on November 5th and 6th. More information about workshop schedule see the folder and to registrate click here <Link>.
